Sunday

As Sunday School teachers for the adolescents we find ourselves in charge of them during the Holiday Bible Club. The kids will have various responsibilities like registration, leading kids around the various activities, helping teachers where they can and doing dramas. We have taken a break on Sunday mornings from our usual teaching so that we can rehearse the kids. It's no easy job. Like so many this age most of the kids are self conscious and see it all as a big laugh! We think we've got 2 dramas down quite well but there's just one more rehearsal and 3 more dramas to go! We will probably have to enlist help from others. Here are some of the kids rehearsing their parts. It's fun to work with them if stressful at times!

Most of the kids came in suits on Sunday. They welcomed people at the door...
...gave the welcome and bible readings (and some added their own insights into the passages!)...
...recited the memory verses they have been learning over the last 3 months...
...and collected the offering. How exciting to have kids involved in such a key way. They seemed to have a great time and looked incredibly cute into the bargain! Pray that these kids will continue to grow in their Christian walk and for the teachers who work with them each week. Many of the teachers are young and new to it all.
