Proyecto MEFI meeting

On Monday I went to the hospital to pick up the MacKinnons with their gorgeous baby girl Amelia. Praise God for a safe delivery and for the health of mum and baby. You can see more photos of Amelia by following the link to their ministry page on the right and then going to 'Robin's blog'.

While I was away an excellent meeting took place in our house. The main item on the agenda was the Drop-In Centre. The team made a list of the things they would ideally like to offer and then narrowed it down to what we can actually offer at the moment and then the tasks were distributed. We have decided to invite kids to come and participate in a 3-4 hour program from the 2nd August. Andrew will be overall director with different team members being responsible for organising and co-ordinating discipleship, sports, cooking, workshops and distribution of clothes, towels, toiletries etc. The team are excited as we have a date to work towards and as we also see how we can work together as a team.

Tomorrow we have another meeting where we will check that we are on track, that people are getting their area organised and where we will further pray and plan together. Please pray for God's guidance and for sustained excitement about the program. We plan to invite about 10 kids at a time and assess their feelings about it regularly. Pray that the team will find the materials that they need and that everything will be ready for the 2nd August.
