Please don't forget this couple in your prayers. Sandra didn't show up to see Paty and me on Wednesday morning and we were worried that Beto prevented her from coming. He hasn't been attending church and has been saying that the members are hypocrites (a universal accusation!). Sandra has said a few times that she really needs to talk but is always running into the house saying that Beto will think she is telling us stuff.
I chatted for a while with Paty and mentioned to her that we were concerned about how all of this was affecting her and Alex. For them much of what they are seeing is very similar to the past they lived before coming to Christ. Through her tears Paty recounted much of her testimony. Truely God has done amazing things for this wonderful couple. I hope one day you hear more details. We just praise God that they are prepared to share their experience and able to help so many others. Please continue to pray for their strength and stamina - both physically and emotionally as they deal with the various challenges of the ministry.
Alex and Andrew went as usual on Wednesday evening to meet with Beto. He was cold to start off with but warmed up and was more like his normal self by the end.
Please continue to pray that in all of this we are able to clearly see God's plan. It's so easy to get caught up in the present situation. Pray that we would have the wisdom to deal with the heart of the issue rather than getting distracted by peripherals which only patch up wounds for a short time. Pray that God would be honoured through our times with this couple and that we will be able to right divide the Word of Truth and pray for the safety of the little family through this difficult time.
