Both Andrew and I met separately with Sandra and Beto this week. I felt I had a good time with Sandra. She hadn't acted on what we had told her she needed to do the last time we met so we've extended the same challenge to her this time. She responded positively. One worrying thing was that she hadn't been at church since our last meeting. She left the meeting very positive and ready to put lots of things straight.
Andrew found Beto to be a little less responsive than usual but wasn't discouraged by the meeting.
Unfortunately we found out on Friday that Beto had physically hurt their little daughter. We must continue to pray for this little family - that God will continue to work in their lives, conforming them more and more into His image. Obviously there are some hard questions being asked at the moment.
