This is one of the guys who came along and helped while the American teams were here remodeling the Drop-In centre. We'll call him Hugo though that's not his real name. Hugo really impressed everyone by how hard he worked and how faithfully he went along to help out. A couple of weeks ago he left the streets and is now renting a place near Alex and Paty's house with one of the other guys who left the streets a good while ago.
So he really needs our prayers. He is still working on the streets cleaning windscreens but he has the offer of a fairly decent job and will hopefully start soon. Pray for his transition. Those of you who have followed our blog for a while know something of the struggles that he will face in the days ahead. Pray that he will like the new job and stick with it. Pray for stamina and courage to stay off the streets. Pray mostly for his spiritual birth and growth and for Alex and Paty's influence in his life. Pray that he would attend the Santa Monica church and begin to find some of his needs met through the ministry there.
Praise God for the stories of kids leaving the streets. This is where the hard work really starts!
