If you read the last post in time then thanks for your prayers. We had a great time. About 12 people from the church came to help and seemed to have a great time. Some arrived at the church at 8.30am to prepare food. We walked down the steep hills and kids came down one by one until we had about 55 kids. We carried down plastic chairs, juice, food (hot dogs), games equipment, music and amplification equipment etc.
The only thing that didn't go as planned is that the speaker overheated in the sun and stopped working! The kids had a great time. The games were fun, the singing brought smiles to their faces and we did plenty of reminding them about the event in 4 weeks in the church and that we would be back before it with flyers. It will be interesting to see how many come from there in 4 weeks. Pray that the good fun they had today will remain with them and that they will be excited to hear from us again.
